History


The Charles I Coronation Medal was instituted in 1626 in commemoration of Charles I English Coronation on February 2, 1926. The Medal was issued in both Gold and Silver. Gold Medals were presented to members of the royal family while Silver Medals were given to members of parliament, judges and other dignitaries, as well as to esteemed servants

The Medal features a reverse Latin inscription that translates to "As Long as Peace Returns to the Lands" or "Until Peace is Restored to the Earth."
