History

The Cross of Military Valour is awarded to Malian military personnel in recognition of acts of gallantry during military campaigns or for the preservation of public order.

The obverse inscription translates "Military Valour," and the initials stand for "République du Mali" (Republic of Mali). The reverse inscription translates to "One People, One Goal, One Faith."
