History

This medal was established by the Sultan Mulay Yusuf bin Hassan in 1924, and it was discontinued on May 16, 1963.

It was conferred in recognition of meritorious service to the Sharifian Government during public functions or executing a mandate in the public interest. It was awarded to individuals of at least 30 years old with a minimum of 10 years of service with the Government.

This medal may be associated with the Order of Civil Merit.
