History

The Order of National Education is conferred upon Gabonese citizens in recognition of outstanding contributions to education in Gabon.

The obverse features initials that stand for "République Gabonaise" (Gabonese Republic) and an additional inscription that translates to "National Education." The reverse features an inscription that translates to "Gabonese Order of National Education."
