History

The Air Force Southern Atlantic Campaign Medal was awarded to reward active and reserve air force personnel who during the WWII rendered exceptional services to the Brazilian Air Force in the South Atlantic and distinguished themselves in the development and execution of special missions and flight safety.

The Medal was authorized with a unique grade.
