The Medal for the Inauguration of the Imperial Academy of Fine Art (Medalha da Inauguração da Academia Imperial de Belas Artes) was instituted by King João VI to commemoration the inauguration of the Imperial Academy of Fine Art in Rio de Janeiro in 1816.

The Medal was made in Gold and Silver, but it is very hard to find. This Medal is extremely scarce.
