History

The Medal for the Pará Revolution (Medalha da Revolução da Pará) was created by the Brazilian regency in 1837, to reward the imperial Officers and enlisted men who suppressed a rebellion at Grão-Parã province in 1840. The rebellion was caused by the abdication of Pedro I in favor of his son the infant Pedro II in 1831. The rebellion lasted from 1835 to 1840.

The Medal was authorized with three grades, each grade features its own design. It is not clear if the medal grade denotes the rank of the recipient.
