History

The Aruhuma Medal (Medalla por la Batalla de Aruhuma) was founded in Argentina by the United Provinces of Rio de la Plata on November 29, 1810. It was awarded to the revolutionary troops that defeated royalist Spanish forces in Cochabamba in 1810. This was the second confrontation that the revolutionary troops won against the royalists at the War of independence of Argentina.

It is not clear if the composition of the Medal corresponds to a specific rank.

The Medal features an obverse inscription that stands for "Por la Patria a los Fieles Libertadores de Cochabamba," which can be translated to "To the Fatherland to Loyal Liberators of Cochabamba."
