The Medal of the National Guard Mercedes (Medalla a la Guardia Nacional de Mercedes) was authorized by the Congress of Argentina as commemoration of the official foundation of the Argentinian Army on January 28, 1896.
It was awarded to the members of the the first and second conscripts which were the first twenty-years-old generation that was trained by the National Guards.
This Medal was awarded to the first and second conscripts of the National Guard of Mercedes.
