History

The Medal for the Expeditionary Army (Medalla a los Expedicionarios) was authorized by the government of Argentina in recognition of Andean Army Division for their ongoing actions the against the Indians at Los Andes in the last twenty years of the 19th century.

The Medal features an obverse inscription that translates to "The Fatherland to the Expeditionary Army," and a reverse inscription that translates to "Andean Division."
