History
The Cochabamba Medal (Medalla de Cochabamba) was authorized by the Bolivian government of Manuel Belzu in 1852. Belzu overthrew dictator Manuel Melgarejo in 1848, and he ruled the country next years, however Malgarejo returned to the power in 1855.
It is not clear who the recipient of this Medal were.
The Medal features an obverse inscription that can be translated to "The Province of Potosà in 1852, Long Live to Bolivian General Belzu," and a reverse inscription that can be translated to "The Fatherland Rewards the Cochabamba Revolutionaries."
