The Medal for Jose Manuel Loza (Medalla para Jose Manuel Loza) was authorized by the government of Bolivia in 1855, in recognition of the writer Jose Manuel Loza (1801-1862.)
Jose Manuel Loza was a Bolivian writer in areas as Civil and Canonical Law. Also, he taught Jurisprudence and Philosophy in the Seminary College, and he was one of the founders of the UMSA (University of San Andres.)
It is not clear who was the recipient for this medal.
The Medal features an obverse inscription that translates to "Bolivian Senate, Bolivian Constitution," and a reverse inscription that translates to "To the Bolivian Writer Jose Manuel Loza."
