History

The Medal for Aniceto Alvano (Medalla para Aniceto Alvano) was authorized by the government of Bolivia in recognition of his efforts to resolve territorial conflicts between Bolivia and Chile in 1866. He was Minister of Foreign Affairs during the Bolivian government of Mariano Melgarejo.

It is not clear who was the recipient for this Medal.

It is limited information regarding to the foundation of this Medal.

This Medal features an obverse inscription that translates to "Bolivia to Mr. Aniceto V. Alvano," and a reverse inscription that translates to "Alliances is the Solution of the Boundaries Issues March 19 and June 3, 1866."
