The Medal for the Defenders of Acre, Campaign 1902, and 1903, (Medalla para los Defensores del Acre en las CampaƱas de 1902 y 1903) was established in Bolivia by decree of 1903. It was founded in recognition of the military personnel who suppressed a secessionist rebellion at the second, and third expeditions to Acre in 1902, and 1903.
The composition of this Medal denotes the rank of the recipient.
The shape of the Medal for I and II Class is a 9-pointed sun with five rays in the angles beneath a flying condor.
This Medal features an obverse inscription that can be translated to "Bolivia to the Defenders of Acre in 1902, and 1903," and a reverse inscription that can be translated to "National Senate 1903."
