    The Order of Juridical Merit (Ordem Nacional do Mérito da Justiça) was established by presidential decree on August 11, 1984. and it was regulated on February 15, 1985. It is currently awarded in recognition of individuals who have contributed exceptional performance in the juridical department in Brazil. It is thirteenth in order of precedence in the country.

    The Order's grades are Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Command ...  er, Officer, and Knight.
