The Order of National Congress (Ordem do Congresso Nacional) was established by the Brazilian National Congress on November 28, 1972. It is awarded to recognize Brazilian and foreign individuals who have contributed exceptional services to the nation of Brazil, particularly the Legislative Power and the Brazilian National Congress.
The current Order's grades are Collar, Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer, and Knight.
Individuals who are State Representatives, highly ranked military personnel, members of the Justice and Audit courts, First Secretaries or Ambassadors, are eligible to receive the rank of the Officer.
