The Order of Aeronautical Merit Lt. Carlos Meyer Baldó (Orden al Mérito Aeronáutico Teniente Carlos Mayer Baldó) was established in Venezuela on October 7, 1968 to reward members of the air force in recognition of of exceptional service to the institution and the nation.

The Order was founded with a unique class, and it has no star. There is known an early version that features blur-enameled arms.

The Order was named after Carlos Meyer Baldó (1896-1933) who was a Venezuelan pilot who flew against the allies during the World War I. He was lieutenant of the Venezuelan air forces, and he died in an aviation accident in 1933.
