The Order of Diego de Lozada was established in Venezuela on June 16, 1973. It is awarded in recognition of significant contributions to the development and progress of work, urban development, culture and science within the Federal District of Caracas.

The Order consists of four grades: I Class, II Class, II Class, and IV Class. The I Class and II Class have breast star. however it is not clear if these feature the same design.

Diego de Lozada (1511–1569) was a Spanish conquistador who founded Santiago de León de Caracas, the current capital of Venezuela.
