History

The Order of Francisco Fajardo was instituted in Venezuela on January 10, 1991 by the Federal District, to reward nationals and foreigners in recognition of meritorious service rendered to the country within fields such as, science, culture, and arts. The Order was founded with three grades: I Class Gold Medal, II Class Silver Medal, ad III Class Bronze Medal.

The II Class Silver Medal is wore on a neck ribbon.
