History
The 14th of June Order of Merit (Orden del Mérito 14 de Junio) was instituted by Rafael Trujillo on July 21, 1961. It was awarded to his military and civilian allies who defeated the revolutionary Cuban army which landed in Dominican Republic to overthrown Trujillo. This Order was discontinued on December 6, 1961, soon after Trujillo's assassination.
The Order was awarded with three grades according with the rank of the recipient. I Class was awarded to Senior Officers, II Class was awarded to Officers, and III Classes was awarded to enlisted men.
Each grade was divided into three variants one for each landing spot, and a fourth variant for Merit.
The ribbon is red, white, and blue.
