History

The Order of Generalissimus (Orden del Generalisimo) was established by then-President Rafael Trujillo on June 13, 1938. It was discontinued on December 6, 1961, right after of Trujillo's assassination.

This Order was conferred with three classes; I Class, II Class, and III Class. There is limited information regarding the award conditions.

The decoration features the recipient's name on the reverse raised band.
