The Imperial Civil Order of the Legion of Honour (l’Ordre Impérial Civil de la Croix de la Légion d’Honneur) was established by Emperor Faustin I on September 21, 1849. It was conferred upon civilians for meritorious and outstanding domestic services to the nation.
The Order's grades consisted of Grand Cordon, Officer, and Knight.
This Order was abolished in 1859.
