History

The Order of Jean Jacques Dessalines (L'Ordre Jean-Jacques Dessalines le Grand Mérite Militaire) was established by the President of Haiti, and it is awarded in recognition of acts of outstanding merit within the Haiti's armed forces. The current status of the Order is unknown.
