This is a commemorative medal struck by the Royal Canadian Mint. It was awarded to Canadian citizens who made a valuable contribution to their peers, to their community or to Canada. Approximately 42,000 were awarded.

The obverse features the cypher of St. Edward’s Crown on a large maple leaf surrounded by the words CONFEDERATION CONFÉDÉRATION above and the dates 1867-1922 below. The reverse features the Royal Canadian Coat of Arms with the national Motto, A MARI USQUE AD MARE (From Sea to Sea).
