The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Long Service Medal was established on March 6, 1934 and is the oldest continually awarded honour in the Canadian system. This medal is awarded to recognize 20 years of service within the RCMP.

There are additional bars conferred to reward additional periods of service. A Bronze Bar with one star for 25 years, a Silver Bar with two stars for 30 years, a Gold Bar with three stars for 35 years, and a Gold and Silver Bar with four stars for 40 years.

The obverse of the medal depicts an effigy of Elizabeth II along with the inscription ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA. The reverse features the heraldic badge of the RCMP with the inscription FOR LONG SERVICE AND GOOD CONDUCT. The Type I, features the crowned bust in coronation robes. The Type II features a crowned profile 1937-1938). The Type III is the English version.
