History

This Order is conferred upon female Cuban citizens in recognition of creative work that is an outstanding example of revolutionary attitude, training youth, integrating women in society, or the defence of Cuba.

The Order may also be awarded to foreign citizens in recognition of their creative work and outstanding contributions to Cuba.
