The Medal for Aculco, Guanajuato & Puente Calderon (Medalla por Aculco, Guanajuato y Puente Calderon) was instituted by the Viceroy of the New Spain (Mexico) in 1811 in recognition of the royal military personnel who defeated the revolutionary troops commanded by the priest Miguel Hidalgo, leader of the Mexican War of Independence, in Aculco, Guanajuato & Puente Calderon in January 17, 1811.
The Medal was authorized with several design. The composition of the Medal denoted the rank of the recipient. The Gold Medal was awarded to Miguel Hidalgo and high ranks. The Silver Medal was awarded to Officer, and the Bronze Medal was awarded to the troops.
The Silver Medal features an obverse inscription that translates to "He Defeated in Aculco, Guanajuato & Puente Calderon," and it depicts plain reverse.
