The Medal for Peruara (Medalla de Peruara) was instituted presumably by the Viceroy of the New Spain (Mexico) in 1814, in recognition of the Generals who led the battle against Mexican revolutionary troops in Peruara on January 5, 1814.
The Medal features an obverse inscription that translates to "Accredited Valor and Fidelity in Peruara on January 5, 1814," and depicts a plain reverse.
