History
The Medal for the Battle of Monte de las Cruces (Medalla por la Batalla de Monte de las Cruces) was authorized by the royalist Spanish government in Mexico, in recognition of the military personnel who fought against revolutionary troops at Monte de las Cruces in 1810. This battle was the first main victory of the insurgents in Mexico.
The Medal had three grades: Gold Medal, Silver Medal, and Bronze Medal. It is not clear if the composition of the Medal denotes the ranks of the recipient.
