History

The Proclamation of Ferdinand VII Medal (Medalla de la Proclamación de Fernando VII) was part of a group of medals that were engraved in South America, in commemoration of the proclamation of Ferdinand VII as King of Spain and the Indias at the beginning of the 19th century.

There were engraved several designs in the mints of Mexico, Peru, and Argentina, mainly.

The Medal features Latin inscriptions.
