Kingdom of Cambodia, 1993-date
In 1993, a new constitution and the restoration of the monarchy followed. The Kingdom of Cambodia should be an independent, sovereign, peaceful and permanently neutral country. Since October 29, 2004 King Norodom Sihamoni is the head of state.
The Royal Armed Forces of Cambodia are composed of the armed forces, Navy and Air Force and have a total strength of 111,232 men (as of 2002).
The National Independence Medal was the highest title and was conferred for exceptional, meritorious service to the nation.
