History

This Order was established on behalf of Emperor Hsuan-tung, by his father, Prince Regent Chun. It was conferred in recognition of dedicated and enthusiastic service.

The VIII Class was conferred upon VIII rank Officials. It was also awarded to individuals for contributions to education and industry, and individuals of low social rank who deserved recognition.
