There is limited information regarding the Distinguished Service Medal.

The Medal is thought to have been issued in silver, but a copper version is also known to exist. The Copper version may have been created as a proof. There may be additional versions of the Medal which vary by composition.

It is believed that the recipient's details are engraved on the reverse.
