History

Known in Malay as the "Darjah Yang Mulia Pangkuan Negara." This order is presented for meritorious service to the country. It is conferred to twenty-five recipients only, except to foreigners, who are conferred honorary awards.

The insignia of the order consists of a collar, two stars and three types of badges. The motto of the order is "Di=peliharakan Allah" meaning "Under God's Protection."

The male recipient of the first class receives the title "Tun" and the wives of recipients may use "Toh Puan."

The Grand Knight Badge is the largest of the badges. It consists of silver gilt and white enamelled, and presents an 11 point star with small crescents and stars between the rays. The central medallion features an embossed crown and crescent with the motto of the order.
