History

Known in Malay as the "Darjah Yang Mulia Pangkuan Negara." This order is presented for meritorious service to the country. It is conferred to twenty-five recipients only, except to foreigners, who are conferred honorary awards.

The insignia of the order consists of a collar, two stars and three types of badges.

The male recipient of the first class receives the title "Tun" and the wives of recipients may use "Toh Puan."

The Collar of the badge is comprised of gold and enamel. It is made of 11 linked medallions that feature the Arms of the State of the Federation.
