History

Awarded for acts of gallantry by non-commissioned officers (NCOs), security personnel, and members of the police force.

This award is a circular silver medal with a straight suspension bar bearing the State Crest. The obverse has two large crossed kris, pointed upwards, joined by a scroll bearing the words "Untok Perkasa" meaning "For Gallantry" in Jawi. On the reverse are the same words in English with the name of the recipient and the date of award. The ribbon is red with white and blue stripes along each edge.
