History

This order, also known as "Darjah Kebesaran Jiwa Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Mulia" and more often "the Star of Ismail" was established by Sultan Ismail in 1925. It is awarded for self-sacrifice and taking life-risking situations, and for promoting business enterprises. There is an honourary membership for foreigners. The Knight Commander is limited to seventy-fifty recipients.

The Companion has five diamond shaped white enamelled arms with a central device featuring a Jawi cypher encircled by a blue enamelled band bearing an inscription.
