History

This order, also known as "Darjah Kebesaran Jiwa Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Mulia" and more often "the Star of Ismail" was established by Sultan Ismail in 1925. It is awarded for self-sacrifice and taking life-risking situations, and for promoting business enterprises. There is an honourary membership for foreigners. The Knight Grand Commander is limited to fifty recipients.

The Grand Commander Breast Star is a silver diamante six point mult-rayed star with a blue enamelled circle bearing an inscription and in the centre field a Jawi cypher and a crown.
