History

This decoration is also known as "Pingat Pekerti Terpileh" and is awarded for distinguished acts of bravery.

This medal bears the same design as the Conspicuous Gallantry Award but is composed of bronze.

The obverse bears the design of crossed kris above the word "Perak" in Jawi with the Perak Crescent below. The reverse bears a surround of laurel leaves with the name of the medal in Jawi and the name of the ...   recipient. The ribbon design is of vertical stripes of white, yellow and black stripes. Bars may be awarded for subsequent acts of bravery.
