History

The Order of the Most Esteemed Royal Family Order of Selangor, also known as "Darjah Kerabat Selangor Yang Amat Di-Hormati" was created on June 6, 1961 by Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah ibni Almarhum Hishamuddin Shah. This order is usually reserved for Malayan Royalty and a small number of high Officers of the State. It is also conferred upon foreign Royalty.

The insignia consists of a collar, badge and breast star.

The Grand Cross Breast Star is 57mm in diameter and presents as ten sections of fluted rays, superimposed on top is a five-pointed faceted star with the State Crown and Crest on a yellow enamelled center field. This centre field is surrounded by a raised wreath of palm leaves.
