History

This order, also called "Darjah Kebesaran Mahkota Selangor Yang Amat Mulia" was instituted on June 6, 1961. It is similar to the Family Order, but has a wider distribution for services in the State.

The Commander Badge bears the same design as the first class badge, but the cypher is on a solid matt gilt background (instead of being a pierced cypher on a red enamel backgound). The ladies badge is the same design as the male's but the cypher is pierced.
