History

This order, also called "Darjah Kebesaran Mahkota Selangor Yang Amat Mulia" was instituted on June 6, 1961. It is similar to the Family Order, but has a wider distribution for services in the State.

The Badge is a five point silver gilt star, the same design as seen on the breast star, however between each quadrant is a pierced cypher on a red enamel background. The badge would be suspended from either the sash badge or the collar.
