Physical Description

A circular medal, the obverse bears the image of a farmer wearing a conical hat, holding a rice vector in one hand and a sieve and hoe in the other, to one side is the head of a buffalo and the other side a thresher, topped with the inscription NONG NGHIER BOI TINH, the reverse bears rice vectors with the inscription VIETNAM with a stylized suspension, on a yellow, white, orange and green striped ribbon.

History

This medal was awarded to those within the Agricultural sector that had 15 years of devoted service, performed meritoriously or had been wounded or sacrificed their lives while serving in the Agricultural sector.

The Agricultural Service Medal can be awarded posthumously.
