Physical Description

A shield with the inscription PHAT TRIEN SAC TOC, with a hand holding a torch, a bundle of arrows and a quiver, the reverse is plain and inscribed with VIETNAM, with a fixed suspension on a yellow, white, red and black striped ribbon.

History

The Ethnic Development Medal was awarded to both military and civilian personnel, as well as Vietnamese groups, organizations and associations, as well as foreign individuals and groups that worked devotedly to the improvement of the living standards of ethnic minorities.
