Physical Description
A rectangular medal, the obverse bears a sword with an open book superimposed over the top with the inscription HUAN VU at the bottom, the reverse bears the inscription VIETNAM within a diamond shaped border inscribed with HUAN VU BOI TINH, on a red and white striped ribbon.
History
This medal was conferred upon instructors and cadres for exceptional instructional service at a military school, training centre, or to the Armed Forces as a whole.
It could also be awarded to instructors not associated with any branch of the Armed Forces, and to foreigners whose instruction directly contributed to Vietnamese training. Recipients had to demonstrate devotion to duty and professionalism.
This medal was last awarded in 1974.
