Perhaps you can make a comment about varying types of suspensions. There were a wide variety of silver fitted suspensions added. The original iron ring used to rust and cause discoloration on tunics!

That's interesting about the original ring! I hadn't considered the affect on the uniforms. Are they more rare? I posted mine in the 'collection' forum to share while I try to find information about the recipient "John Beaumont." It has the original iron ring!

Sure it does it is the Symbol of Lebanon - it is a Cedar tree thousands of years old - symbol of Eternity

No, but I have seen a medal roll and I know that a Relief of Mafeking went to a Pte C. Day, (reg # 7076) but didn't see any of the Defence of Mafeking on this one page of Day-Dallison.
