History
This medal was originally instituted during the Czechoslovak Republic (1918-1945), and it was conferred upon personnel within the Armed Forces of Czechoslovakia that had demonstrates bravery in the face of the enemy during World War II.
The medals issued during the Coalition Government were produced in Prague after 1945, and they have larger letters in the obverse and reverse inscriptions.
The obverse inscription translates to "For Bravery."
The reverse inscription translates to "Truth Prevails 1939."
