    History


    The Air Force Cross of Merit was awarded to Officers of the Royal Hellenic Air Force for distinguished service, leadership, and administration in times of war. It could also be awarded to Army Officers for their service as liaisons between the Air Force and the Army during operations in the Greek Civil War.

    There may be additional versions of the Silver Cross that differ in composition.
