History

The Medal for Valiance and Courage was established by Presidential Decree in 2014 and is administered by the Minister of Defence. It is awarded to military personnel of the Moldovan Armed Forces, civilian employees of the Ministry of Defence, and foreigners in recognition of selfless acts performed on military missions.

The Gold Medal features an obverse inscription that translates to "Valiance and Courage."
