History
The Decoration for Merit to Labour Protection was established by the Polish People's Republic in 1988 and was administered by the Chief Labour Inspectorate. It was awarded to Polish citizens and organisations in recognition of contributions to the expansion of the job market, contributions to labour protection, and achievements in management and human resources. It was also awarded to foreigners for exceptional contributions to the international labour protection. It was discontinued following the collapse of the communist regime in 1989, but a similar award was established by the Polish People's Republic in 2004.
The Bronze Decoration features an obverse inscription that translates to "For Merit to the Protection of Labour," and a reverse inscription that translates to "National Labour Inspectorate."
